An address tied to the Drift exploit moved 18,800 ETH — approximately $46 million — into Tornado Cash on Wednesday, according to Onchain Lens.
One day earlier, the same entity had deposited $61 million worth of Ether into the mixer. Across both days, 44,510 ETH changed hands, totalling $109 million.
The April breach of the Solana-based decentralised exchange resulted in alleged losses of $295 million, making it the third-largest crypto theft this year by DefiLlama's tally. Mandiant linked the incident to a North Korean threat group.
Wednesday's activity brought the share of stolen funds sent to Tornado Cash to nearly 37% of the original haul. Arkham data shows the labelled wallets retained 56,569 ETH — around $138 million — after the latest transfers.
Drift launched a DFX recovery token on 1 October, allowing affected users to claim against a pool seeded with roughly $3.1 million. The pool is designed to grow through exchange revenue and any assets successfully recovered.
